In a survey conducted in October 2023 on behalf of Yorkshire and Humber LRFs, we spoke to 2601 Yorkshire residents, 198 across the Humber, 355 in North Yorkshire, 767 in South Yorkshire and 1281 in West Yorkshire.
63% of the 2601 asked felt “community resilience to emergencies is worth aiming for.”
However, 78% felt lack of information and awareness about risks and how to prepare was the biggest barrier holding their community back from becoming more emergency ready.
